ITALY:
44 students and 12 teachers came to Turin in November. It was a week full of interesting activities.
We always had something to do, we were never bored.
During this week we did some workshops at school, in the first one we
talked about people's habits in each country so what we eat every day.
The second workshop was about the waste of food.
We also did two workshops at Colombatto and Sermig.
In general the main theme was food, how to save it, and especially how
important it is for us and for our world!
The other activities that we did were visits to museums (Museum of Cinema,
The Egyptian Museum) and Teatro Regio.
It was a useful exchange because we had the opportunity to stay with people
from other countries who are different from us for some aspects. We could improve our English which is an
essential aspect for international relationships.
One of the most interesting things, especially for the people who hosted
someone, was to know the habits of the foreign students and also talk to them
about how they live in their countries: I think it is always important to
discover different realities that coexist in the world.
In conclusion, I believe that this was a very formative experience, not
only for us but for our foreign guests as they had the opportunity to know our
wonderful city better!
FINLAND:
Week´s activities were well organized, though the days felt quite long. Personally
I really liked the Museum of Cinema and Reggia de Venaria. I had a really nice
time, the week went fast and all the people were great. The Farewell-party was
a lot of fun and the food really good.

A very well organized trip. It was nice to explore Turin through local
people´s eyes. There were many different kinds of activities from which we
learned a lot and which worked as eye openers. All of the host families were
very caring and thoughtful and really made us feel welcome and like at home.
My own favourite place to visit was Reggia de Venaria, but it was also too
bad that we didn´t have time to see more things in there (uprstairs, the
gardens, …)

Ada Savenius, Finland
I had a wonderful week. My host family was so kind. I saw many amazing
sights. Culture was really different. The whole Comenius group was great.
-
JoonaStreangell, Finland
All the culture differences. I learnt a lot about food waste. The wonderful
old buildings in Turin. How happy EVERYONE was! Social students and teachers.
-
RekoLoisti, Finland
The food was great. All the activities were very well organized. We had
enough free time. I also liked Reggia de Venaria and the Museum of Cinema. All
the people were great!
-
EinoNupponen, Finland
All the activities were planned very well. The food was really good. My
host family was the best. (Luisa Balbo di Vinadio)
The project and whole trip was an awesome and special experience.

POLAND:
Memories from Turin
During the Comenius Project in Italy we had a lot of fun with people we
met. It was a fantastic experience because we could improve our language
skills.
We took part in many events, we made new friendships that we hope will
survive for a long time. We got to know other cultures and we learned a lot
about other countries.
We will never forget that week!

GERMANY:
Hi everybody, especially the Italian students and teachers! Before we came
to Torino we were very excited and now the time past so quickly! We are very
lucky that we met so many nice people and we hope that we will stay in contact
with all of you. We shouldn’t be sad that it is over now, but we should be
happy because it happened!
Thank you for the great time – it was so much fun!
Anna Helmer, Vanessa Janzen, Carolina Schmid
Hi guys, it was a pleasure to meet you, to experience the Italian culture
and way of life – like fresh pasta J) and to see so many interesting and nice
places, like the Egyptian Museum, Teatro Regio, the Venerian Palace. It was so
much fun to work with you and we hope that we can finish the short videos
concerning “food and life”. We also thank your families and their cooperation!

I found this travel
very rewarding. I improved my English and I learnt to know other cultures. I
really loved discovering Turin although it was hard to communicate. My favorite
day will remain Thursday. I will always remember those good times.
Solène H.:
The trip to Italy was
very cool. In the train, we laughed a lot. We met a lot of students but we
haven’t talked a lot with them. My host was very nice, I talked a lot with her.
We didn’t go, out very often but it was very cool. We visited a lot of new places
such as the Egyptian museum, the Colombatto school, the Cinema museum…
Florane P.:
The week stay was very
good. My favorite visit was the cinema museum but we didn’t have a guide (I
would like to have one to get explanation because it was written in Italian…)
IT WAS TOO SHORT!!!
Lou V.:
My week in Italy was
very interesting because we spoke English every day. My host family was very
friendly. We played English games and we saw films in English.
I learnt some
information about “waste food” in the world. This meeting with students of
other country was very interesting and I enjoyed it. We had some good visits;
my favorite was the museum of cinema.
This travel was very
good and very interesting. Now I have a better English and I have some friends
in other country. Turin is a very beautiful town. I love Turin.
Louis C.:
That was a really
incredible experience. My host family was very kind. I am the “new like
brother” of the family. And I learnt how
much food we can waste in our world today!
Laurie R.:
I really really enjoyed
my week stay in Turin. Turin is an amazing city. They are many museums and it’s
a big city. I liked the cinema museum a lot which visit was instersting. The
visit of the theatre was awesome.
We visited the hotel
and catering school Collobatto too. I find it was good. We cooked and I like
it.
My host was very kind
with me. If you ask me go to Turin again I’m ready to go!
